Altered States in Therapeutic Practice

5 March 2013, 8.15 pm

Association of Jungian Analysts
Flat 3, 7 Eton Avenue, London NW3 3EL

I shall present a case in which my patient and I each developed murderous psychotic delusions about the other. I shall endeavour to explore the dynamics of how this altered state came about and the reciprocal nature of the outcome, in the context of Jung’s alchemical orientation.

Biography: Nathan Field trained as a Jungian analyst with the British Association of Psychotherapists in the 1960’s. Now retired from full-time private practise, which included teaching, lecturing and supervision. Formerly Chair of Training, and later Chair of Council, at the London Centre for Psychotherapy. He is the author of Breakdown and Breakthrough (Routledge) and editor of Ten Lectures on Psychotherapy and Spirituality (Karnak).

This meeting is open to practising analysts, psychotherapists and trainees. Advance booking is essential as space is limited.
